Woot! It's Saturday and I'm tired! We went apartment hunting today alllll around the VA-DC metro area, and every single one we saw was really really nice and really reasonable. Tonight Mike's friend is having a party thing which will hopefully be funnnn. Other than that I'm boring.

My favorite Britney Spears site was shut down because Britney's dad is a d-bag and suing it :(

Shwhah!

I just slept and did yoga all day. It was beautiful. And Heather's home yayyy and we bought food yay.

Don't wanna go to work tomorrow. Half of the people I like have been shipped to another building for no reason. Sucks. As if there's the slightest semblance of order in this whole operation.

There are of course good elements too, but I don't know how to handle them yet.

Like coffee! And sleep! Wheeee!

"This is the best story EVER." -Mike

It was a very happy St. Patrick's Day.

Good things that happened today:

-Somebody gave up their seat to me on the bus!
-Found a wayyy shorter way to get to work
-Someone liked my dress!
-People got super happy when I told them we owned their loan so they can get the Home Affordability Plan!
-Saw other people reading and texting in plain sight, so guess who's writing love notes and sneaking Nabokov in between calls?

I love coffee and my roommate. Hopefully this weekend will be fun.

This is my 50th post!

And it was my first day of work!

Let's just say it starts with Freddie Flintstone and ends with Big Mac (hee i'm clever), and no one knows what the f is going on. I've been told that I have to tell customers how to figure out whether they have a loan with us, but the people who call have about fifty million other questions.

One lady called sobbing, and one told me her house was going to be sold on Wednesday if someone didn't help. And all I could do was write down their contact info and tell them someone would call them within the next two days. It sucked, times a thousand.

So yeah, it's kind of a trip, and I don't have to wake up super early for it, or come home super late like at the Shakespeare Theatre. Plus daylight savings time is nice so it's not even dark when I go home. And there's money! I'm so paranoid though, all I want to do is stash it away.

Anywho, that's enough of a life update for now. Love you all.

I am now officially too tall to be on America's Next Top Model.

Life plan over. Time to start dealing drugs.

Updates!

Hokay, so, I got a phone call today from the temp agency lady who got me the bank job. They don't think I have enough experience to be a supervisor. Instead I'll be one of the people calling and verifying that people are capable of taking out loans. I have a much better feeling about this, and YAY I have a job!!! I start Monday, so I have from now until then to get all the spaz out of my system.

I had to quit the Shakespeare Theatre job though, and that makes me really sad. I love the people there and am really hoping some of us can still hang out. Yay friends! :)

I'ma buy me some perty work clothes tomorrow!

So I've been really up and down emotionally lately. I just got a job with a really big name bank that got bailed out last year (I'd put the name on here but I don't want to come up on a Google search). It'll be for a year, and I'll be the supervisor for people who call clients and verify loans with them. So for a year I'll be making more money than I've ever seen in my life.

I'm so overwhelmed I can't see straight.

The Pros:
-Not having to worry about money, obviously
-Having something productive to do during the day
-Being able to buy freaking cute Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters dresses and have a place to wear them.
-Feeling like I have some purpose being in DC, even if it's super random

The Cons
-The hours. I'm used to working nights.
-The responsibility. I've never been in a "lead position" before and I'm more than kind of scared.
-The commitment. I don't know yet about personal days, but what if I can't have any? Will I really go a year without daylight?!?

So as you can see the pros outweigh the cons. That's good at least.

I'll update more later.
