Good weekend. And this time I'm writing about it on a Sunday as opposed to a Tuesday. Also good.

There are a lot of things I'm excited about. And at the same time sooo much restlessness. I had a really good talk with my parents today though, and my dad launched into a "you're awesome and we're proud of you!" speech, which was surprising and nice.

Plenty more to talk about. How much time do you have?

It was an absolutely perfect weekend. Josh was here, the weather was loverly, and we saw PANDAS! And tigers and lions, both of which have awesome rars. Yes, rars. As in Rarrr!

This week's been pretty good, made better by the fact that it's short!

I can't think of much else to say. Lately I've been obsessed with Googling, ebaying, and salivating over vintage clothing, but not buying anything. I really am the cheapest person ever.

There are many things to look forward to :) Now back to work!

Oh my. So many little inspirations lately. Here are a few of them:

-this song by animal collective weirdness is so cool. and this is like, happy summery weirdness.
-FINALLY cleaning up all the scatterings of my room. I never realized how big it actually is when you can see the floor.
-Found the most AMAZING Tuscan Bread at Trader Joe's... to go with my new Hummus Quartet.. Addicted much? :-D
-Heather finally being back from her Michigan odyssey :) Now we're off to acquire Thai food yay!

Love love!

Yay for new layouts! I found this picture on bleubirdvintage.com and am more than a bit obsessed with it.

So no sleep + secondhand cigarette smoke = sick Caroline. But this weekend has been so much fun! I've been to a couple places that were way too fancy for me, and am now totally in love with the coffee shop Tryst. It's a cafe/restaurant/bar... it's its own entity.

I totally meant to be a clean freak and do laundry... It's not too late I guess. This is the best I've felt all day, so maybe I'm getting a second wind.

A friend of mine and I were randomly talking about the difference between extroverts and introverts. Yeah the obvious one is that an extro is implied to be outgoing and vice versa for intro, but it also has a lot to do with how you perceive things, and how your brain processes situations. Like, an introvert "thinks to talk" and an extrovert "talks to think."

I totally talk to think. Can you tell? :-P

Spontaneous end of post!

Do you think people are interesting based on the experiences they have? Or based on the entertainment value of their opinions on them?

This is the random shit I think about.

Life is so good and so busy. And everything is green.

Sunday was a rainy day, perfect for wandering around an art museum. So my parents and I wandered around the National Gallery for hours. It was sooo beautiful, inspiring, etc, and I took some snaps on my phone of some of my favorites.

The Repentant Magdalene. How haunting and gorgeous is this? It was perfectly framed in a doorway, and you just had to go towards it when you saw it. The skull (surprise) is symbolic of Christ, and its reflection is supposed to represent his ascension. And the tenderness on her face is perfect even though she's in shadow. Love.

Oh Degas. You make ballerinas so purty.

This crazy shit show is by Philip Guston. I love how it takes the conventionality of comics and makes it completely twisted and drowned in madness. The foreheads and legs show up in a lot of his paintings. So does a giant blood splattered Klu Klux Klan head. Yah we were freaked out too.

I love this picture so much I almost made it my facebook picture. It's called Plum Brandy, and I want to be this woman's best friend and steal her hat. In that order.

So yeah. That's all.

Myyyy parents are coming today! And it's Friday!

Apparently while I was playing hookie on my b-day, the girl who sits behind me went and got flowers, chocolate, and a card for everyone to sign. To which my supervisor replied, "Caroline called in sick today..."

OHHHHH!

She then proceeded to dance to "Brick House." My card was one of those musical ones.

There's also a bunch of stuff that pisses people off. Like kiss-asses getting promoted. I guess that's a classic annoyance though.

Obsessions:
-This song
-This necklace
-This blog
-This blog too
